A remarkable display of courage and teamwork saved a life during a high school football game at Plattsburgh High School on November 8, 2024. When an individual suffered a sudden cardiac emergency in the bleachers, quick-thinking bystanders and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) played a pivotal role in reversing the cardiac arrest.

The City of Plattsburgh announces the completion of a $17,441,890 serial bond issue, coinciding with a significant upgrade in its credit rating by Moody’s Investors Service. Moody’s has elevated the City’s issuer and General Obligation Limited Tax (GOLT) bond ratings from A3 to A2 and improved the City’s Bond Anticipation Note (BAN) rating from MIG 2 to MIG 1. This new rating applies not only to the 2024 bond issue but extends to all outstanding City debt, underscoring enhanced financial health and sound fiscal practices.
