“Plattsburgh’s annual GreenUP! is a fantastic way for neighbors to gather and take pride in our shared spaces just as the spring is about to bloom,” said Rebecca Pineo, Community Engagement Coordinator. “What’s more, the city feels particularly energized having just kicked off our 2024 events season with the eclipse beach party. People from all over the Northeast and around the world saw us put our best foot forward – let’s keep the momentum rolling to make GreenUP! a success as well.”

Aude Lochet, PhD., of the Lake Champlain Sea Grant and Lake Champlain Research Institute added, “Earth Day is a great opportunity to reflect on all the benefits Mother Nature provides to our society! It is heartwarming to see the community come together for this celebration.”
