(Plattsburgh, NY - March 13, 2024) - The City of Plattsburgh is excited to announce a public information meeting to provide an overview of Preliminary Design Plans for the Saranac River Trail Phase III project!
This project, a Locally Administered Federal Aid Project, PIN 7806.61, funded through the New York State Department of Transportation’s Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), aims to enhance transportation alternatives while contributing to the revitalization of our local and regional economies. The Saranac River Trail Phase III project represents a significant investment in our community's infrastructure, fostering connectivity, recreation, and economic growth. This phase is the last phase of the Saranac Trail Greenway Project to be implemented within the City of Plattsburgh bounds. It is projected to run between the newly constructed Riverwalk and Peace Point Park.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at City Hall. Residents, stakeholders, and interested parties are encouraged to attend to learn more about the project's objectives, scope, and anticipated benefits. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with project representatives, ask questions, and provide feedback.
