On March 20, 2018 the Plattsburgh City Police arrested Cody J. Grenier 24 of Dannemora, New York, Eryn Devins 31 of Ellenburg, New York and Amber Woody 29 of Plattsburgh, New York. The arrests stem from an ongoing investigation conducted by the Plattsburgh City Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit that culminated in seizures of heroin and crack cocaine during a vehicle stop and the execution of a search warrant at two separate Plattsburgh locations.

At approximately 1:30 pm, a traffic stop of a vehicle traveling on South Catherine was conducted with the assistance of a New York State Police K9 Unit.  The vehicle was occupied by both Grenier and Devins. Grenier was operating the vehicle at the time of the stop.  As a result of the stop, Grenier was found to be in possession of fifty six individual bags containing heroin and Devins was found to be in possession of forty seven individual bags containing crack cocaine.

Following the vehicle stop, a search warrant was executed at 159D South Peru Street.  During the execution of the warrant issued by Judge Keith Bruno, an additional fifty seven bags of heroin and seven bags of crack cocaine were seized.

Police estimate the street value of the narcotics to be in excess of $10,000.  Both Grenier and Devins were charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree a Class “B” Felony.  Grenier was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and committed to the Clinton County Jail on $25,000 cash / $100,000 bond.  Devins was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and committed to the Clinton County Jail on $5,000 cash / $25,000 bond.  Woody was charged with one count of Criminal Nuisance 1st Degree a Class “E” Felony.  Woody was released on an appearance ticket.
