City Police arrest two in crack cocaine bust

“City Police arrest two in crack cocaine bust” 


On March 12th, 2018, members of the Plattsburgh City Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit arrested Chane M. Davis (23) of Utica, NY and Monquest J. Stokely (23) also of Utica, NY for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (B Felony). Darlene K. Peryea (52) of Plattsburgh (City), NY was later arrested for Criminal Nuisance 1st degree (E Felony).

These arrests stem from an extensive investigation into narcotics sales in the City of Plattsburgh by the Plattsburgh City Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit. A search warrant was executed at Darlene Peryea’s residence in the City of Plattsburgh by the Plattsburgh City Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit and Adirondack Drug Task Force.

During the execution of the search warrant, Chane Davis and Monquest Stokely were found to be in possession of approximately 35 grams of crack cocaine packaged in 41 small plastic bags. Police estimate the street value of the crack cocaine to be in excess of $3,500. 

Darlene Peryea was charged with Criminal Nuisance 1st degree for allowing Chane Davis and Monquest Stokely to sell crack cocaine out of her apartment. 

Darlene Peryea was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Plattsburgh City Court on a later date. Chane Davis and Monquest Stokely were arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court on March 13th, 2018 on the charges for which they were arrested. Chane Davis was remanded to the Clinton County Jail. Monquest Stokely was sent to the Clinton County Jail on $20,000 bail/$100,000 bond. They will reappear in Plattsburgh City Court on a later date.

 The execution of the search warrant was performed by the Plattsburgh City Police Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit and the Adirondack Drug Task Force which is comprised of members of the Plattsburgh City Police Department, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, New York State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Border Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations, Clinton County District Attorney’s Office and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department.
