“Police raid house to find infant amidst drugs and drug transactions”

As a result of an ongoing investigation into the trafficking and distribution of narcotics within the City of Plattsburgh, on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017 Members of the Plattsburgh Police Department, with assistance from the New York State Police K-9 unit and the Adirondack DEA Task Force, executed a search warrant on the residence located at 113 Cornelia Street in the City of Plattsburgh. During the subsequent investigation officers located and seized 12.1 grams of Crack Cocaine and approx. $4,000.00 in drug related currency. The approximate street value of the narcotics seized is $2,500 dollars. In addition to the cash and narcotics located inside the apartment, officers discovered a 5 month old child in the presence of unsecured narcotics. As officers continued to investigate this matter it was discovered the child was inside the home during prior drug transactions.
Later this same day, members of the Plattsburgh Police Department responded back to the same location for a report of individuals inside the unoccupied apartment. Officers located a person inside the apartment and property being removed without permission. Officers recovered the property and arrested Evita A. Stacey for the burglary.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of the following individuals:
Jamika K. Robinson, age 21 of Cornelia Street Plattsburgh NY
Charged with:
1 Count - Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree a class “B” felony
1 Count – Endangering the welfare of a child.
Robinson appeared before the Hon. Mark Rogers in Plattsburgh City Court and was committed to the Clinton County Jail under $10,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
Rayquan J. Scott, age 21 of Cornelia Street Plattsburgh NY
Charged with:
1 Count - Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree a class “B” felony
1 Count – Endangering the welfare of a child.
Scott appeared before the Hon. Mark Rogers in Plattsburgh City Court and was committed to the Clinton County Jail under $20,000 cash bail or $60,000 bond.
Evita A. Stacey, age 33 of 7090 State Route 9 Plattsburgh NY
Charged with:
1 – Count of Burglary in the 2nd degree a Class "B” felony
1 – Count of Petit Larceny a class “A” misdemeanor
Stacey appeared before the Hon. Mark Rogers in Plattsburgh City Court and was committed to the Clinton County Jail under $5000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
