City Beach Seeks Food Trucks

Four available daily

Plattsburgh, NY – The City of Plattsburgh Recreation Department seeks any interested Food Truck vendors to provide food services to patrons at the Plattsburgh City Beach.

The City Beach has opened up registration for up to four food trucks on a daily or seasonal basis.  Those interested can register online at www.plattsburghrecreation.com . The cost is $20 for a week day, $40 for a weekend day, or $500 for the remainder of the season.  All registrations are first-come, first-served and must be done online prior to arriving at the Plattsburgh City Beach.

“This is a great opportunity for our local food vendors to showcase their unique offerings in a unique and busy place,” said Steve Peters, Superintendent of Recreation.  “As the summer weather continues to improve, we are regularly seeing hundreds, and sometimes over a thousand visitors at the beach on a daily basis. We’ve tried to make this and easy, affordable and flexible transaction for our vendors so that they can focus on the quality that they provide.  I look forward to seeing some great variety at this great location.”

All food vendors must have valid and appropriate Clinton County Health Department permits in place for all dates for which they register.  Beach operations are always weather and staffing dependent.  The City of Plattsburgh reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of permitted vendors at its sole discretion. Downtown food service permits are not applicable to the Plattsburgh City Beach.

The Plattsburgh City Beach sees over 40,000 users annually and just minutes from downtown Plattsburgh on the shores of Lake Champlain.  The Plattsburgh City Beach is one of the largest freshwater beaches in America and boasts beautiful views of Lake Champlain and the majestic Green Mountains of Vermont. The park features access to over a mile and a quarter of sandy beach, a dedicated swimming area, picnic tables and outdoor grills, kayak rentals, restrooms with showers and a nature trail.
